Eating at Launde Abbey

Dining at Launde Abbey is an experience that attracts endless praise.  Our team of chef’s working under Mark Goode, our Head Chef, work tirelessly to ensure that our guests’ and visitors’ appetites are always positively challenged!

Provision for Residents

Residents choosing a Full Board option experience 24 hours of gastronomic please.  Meals and snacks typically consist of:

Breakfast: selection of cereals, fruit juices and full cooked English breakfast buffet.
Mid-Morning Coffee: coffee or a selection of teas, with a home baked biscuit.
Lunch: a buffet salad with (typically) baked potato and selection of fillings followed by home made sweets.
Mid-Afternoon Tea: a selection of teas or coffee, with a homemade cake.
Dinner: two course of main and sweet, chosen in advance from the menu at lunch time.

Guests opting for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast only receive those two elements.  Day guests normally receive the mid-morning and mid-afternoon selections as well as lunch.

Our kitchen always responds to special dietary requirements and your chefs work with guests to ensure that their meals take full account of their individual needs.  It is always advisable to contact us in advance on 01572 717254 if you have any specific dietary needs to start the discussion ahead of your visit.

Dairy Tea Room

The Dairy Tea Room is our cafe which is open from 10.00 am until 4:30 pm daily to residents, day guests and casual visitors alike.  Serviced by the same kitchen, the cafe offers a wide range to snacks and lunches.  Further details can be found by clicking here.
