Marianne Goodale – Soprano
Marianne holds a diploma in Music Performance from Trinity College London. She has recently sung in several concerts as soprano soloist in performances of Handel’s Messiah and Ode on St Cecilia’s Day; Vivaldi’s Gloria, and John Rutter’s Requiem. Her programme will include songs by Purcell, Faure, German, Sullivan and Debussy.
Gabriel Francis-Dehqani – Cello
Gabriel is an outstanding young musician. He passed his Grade 8 with distinction aged 13 and was a member of several orchestras, including the National School’s Symphony Orchestra, and Aldeburgh Young Musicians. He has been principal cello in a performance of The Four Seasons with Nicola Benedetti at the Barbican in 2015. At 16, he was awarded a full bursary to study at Eton College as the Andrew Lloyd Webber scholar, winning the Leavers ‘String Prize’ in his final year. He is now in his first year at Durham University, where he is Principal Cellist of the Durham University Symphony Orchestra. He is also a pianist and composer. His programme will include music by Mendelssohn, Glazunov, Rachmaninov, Faure and Haydn.
This concert is part of our celebrated Classical Concerts series. Each event features an hour of enjoyable high-class music in our medieval Chapel followed by an optional cream tea.
