December Quiet Day: Watching and Waiting

6th December 2021, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

£35

Revd Claire Goode

‘In a state of waiting’ or ‘waiting in a state’ – how we can use the season of Advent to bring meaning to our waiting.

The day will have the poem by R S Thomas entitled Kneeling as its theme and we will explore the notion of waiting with expectation and patience, with hope and reality and we will be accompanied by the Patriarchs and the Prophets, John the Baptist and Mary.

Revd Claire Goode is a Chaplain at Launde Abbey. She is an experienced parish priest and retreat leader who was most recently the Vicar of a city centre church in Nottingham. Claire was also one of the team offering Spiritual Direction (Spiritual Accompaniment) and Mentoring in Southwell & Nottingham Diocese. She has been sewing ever since she can remember – she had her first sewing machine aged 9 years and has recently studied for a City and Guilds Patchwork and Quilting Certificate.

Yes – I’d like to take part in this Quiet Day!
