Seeing Through God’s Lens *FULLY BOOKED*

14th September 2020, 4:00 pm to 17th September 2020, 2:00 pm

£340

*Please note, this retreat is currently fully booked*

Led by Morna Simpson, this retreat will draw on the practice of Contemplative Photography as a spiritual discipline. Combining some Ignatian spiritual practices with the art form of photography, it will give space to contemplate the world and our experiences “through God’s lens”, encouraging new ways of ‘noticing’ the world around us. A camera will be beneficial, but not essential. There will be an opportunity for some silence during the retreat.

Morna Simpson is assistant curate in the Holy Spirit Parish, Leicester and would describe herself as a contemplative, photographer and wordsmith in the world. She began to practice contemplative photography as a spiritual discipline almost by accident during her training for ordination, and continues to research and refine her practice through ministry, more recently with a particular focus on contemplative photography in worship. For her, it is a way of noticing glimpses of God’s glory in the world and drawing attention to them.

We want all our guests to be safe and secure when visiting Launde during the current public health situation. For details of our comprehensive Keeping You Safe programme click here.
