This retreat opens up fresh encounters of God as we explore how John in his gospel delights in the senses, both physical and spiritual, in his experience of Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh. Activating our six senses, it will stimulate our own discoveries, not only of the gospel, but also of God’s world, ourselves and our mission.

The Revd Canon Dr Andrew D. Mayes was, until recently, Spirituality Adviser to the Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf and teaches regularly in Jerusalem where he has lived. Now based near Hereford at Borderlands Retreats, he is an international speaker and author of ten spirituality books.

Andrew will be available for spiritual direction during the retreat; meals will be in silence.
