Transforming Church Conflict

21st February, 11:00 am to 22nd February, 4:30 pm

David Newman

Conflict is normal in any community, including the church; the issue is not whether conflict should be happening but how to respond to the conflicts that inevitably arise. Developed by Bridge Builders Ministries, this two day course will equip you with tools and strategies to learn and grow through conflict and bring transformation rather than division.

David Newman was appointed Warden of Launde Abbey in March 2017. Before coming to Launde, David was the Vicar of Emmanuel Church, Loughborough and then Archdeacon of Loughborough. He has led numerous retreats and courses at Launde in recent years and shares a deep love of the place.

Louise Corke is Team Vicar in the benefice of Kegworth, Hathern, Long Whatton, Diseworth, Belton and Osgathorpe and a School for Ministry Tutor in the Diocese of Leicester. Louise uses her training as a teacher and priest to equip and enable others to flourish in the roles to which God has called them. She has worked in Leicester diocese since 2001 and with a recent change in jobs, is having to listen and learn in two completely new contexts: rural ministry and diocesan ministry. ‘I’m loving the fresh challenge of steep learning curves and the inevitable mistakes which teach me so much!’ She enjoys the arts, walking, travel and creating micro-adventures in the time away with friends.

Early bird price: £145 if booked before November 30th 2018.
