Nigel Cameron (Irish whistles and percussion) and Julie Cameron-Hall (classically trained fiddle) are both accomplished singers\, songwriters and musicians\, performing original songs\, instrumentals and timeless melodies. \n\n\n\nTheir concerts are presented in two halves with an interval for refreshments\, combining uplifting and reflective music with stories inspired by Celtic Saints such as Patrick\, Brendan and Hilda. The evening promises warmth\, depth and moments of joy\, offering music that connects faith\, heritage and community. \n\n\n\nAbout CELTISH – Nigel Cameron & Julie Cameron-Hall \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHusband & wife musical duo ‘Celtish’ have toured extensively throughout the UK and beyond. They have appeared twice on Songs of Praise\, giving what the BBC called “A spine-tingling performance.”   \n\n\n\nThey have also recently been featured artists in two documentary films\, ’Celtic Rhythms’ (by Rebecca Friedlander) and ‘Love Speaks through St. Patrick’ (by Carl Wesley Anderson). \n\n\n\nTheir concert performances include material from the albums ‘Lorica’\, ‘Journey’\, ‘Home’\, ‘Devotion’ and ‘Celtish (instrumental)’ albums. \n\n\n\n\n“A spine-tingling performance.” BBC Songs of Praise \n\n\n\n”Fearsomely talented. Beautiful and inspiring.” 10/10 Cross Rhythms \n\n\n\n “Overflows with dazzling musicianship. Deserves to be heard by the worldwide worshipping church.” Premier Christianity \n\n\n\n “Powerful and encouraging. Stunning and original. Hauntingly beautiful.” Bishop Richard Jackson \n\n\n\n “A real treat. Great musicianship\, beautifully recorded. Highly recommended.” Stuart Townend \n\n\n\n“This beautiful music ministered deeply to my soul. It is skillful and sincerely expresses deep spiritual truths.” Joanne Hogg \n\n\n\n“Wonderful… beautifully written\, arranged and performed.” Andy Park \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRecordings \n\n\n\nAs individual artists\, Nigel (Northern Ireland) & Julie (England) both have had many years of experience performing and recording music. Working together as a married couple since 2014\, they have recorded a total of six ‘Celtish’ albums\, but also produce music for other artists under their record label ‘Sounds of Wonder.’ They travel extensively using ‘Celtish’ as their band name as well as sometimes playing with other musicians including their classical improvisation group ‘Epiphany.’ \n\n\n\nConcerts \n\n\n\nPerformances by ‘Celtish’ usually take the form of a concert in two halves (with an interval for refreshments in-between) including a range of upbeat and reflective music\, instrumentals\, original songs and familiar lyrics set to timeless melodies. They usually share stories to introduce some of their songs\, including ones they’ve written about Celtic Saints including Patrick\, Brendan\, Columba\, Kevin\, Aidan & Hilda who all have amazing stories to tell about the spread of Christianity throughout these islands.  \n\n\n\nMission \n\n\n\nNigel & Julie write: “We hope that hosting a ‘Celtish’ concert in your venue can help build bridges between Church & community. The popularity of Celtic music and the uniqueness of our sound\, strongly featuring fiddle and whistles\, seems to give our concerts a wide appeal to audiences. We believe the music has power to bring healing and hope and there are usually one or two extravagant ‘joy-bursts’ in the programme. We also hope to dispel some myths about the ancient Celtic Saints.” \n\n\n\n \n \n Concert Booking Form\n \n \n Contact DetailsName(Required)\n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n \n Email(Required)\n \n Enter Email\n \n \n \n Confirm Email\n \n \n \n Phone(Required)DetailsConcert Date(Required)How many tickets would you like?(Required)How did you hear about this event?Social MediaGoogleWord of MouthRefer a FriendPast ParticipantOtherAnything else we need to know?\n Submit URL:https://www.laundeabbey.org.uk/event/celtish-concert-with-nigel-cameron-and-julie-cameron-hall/ CATEGORIES:Classical Concerts,Concert ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.laundeabbey.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Launde-Programme-Thumbnails-64.jpg END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
