SUMMARY:Beginners Retreat with the Launde Abbey Community **3 SPACES REMAINING**
DESCRIPTION:book now\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAre you someone who has perhaps been to a quiet day or a church weekend away but has never experienced a residential retreat? Are you unsure how you might cope for the whole retreat\, what you might do with your time\, or whether you will like silence? Do you like the thought of stepping away from the busyness of life to have time with God and catch up with yourself? Then this is the retreat for you! The aim of this semi-silent retreat weekend is to help you enter the world of retreats gently and with plenty of guidance and support. \n\n\n\nThis retreat will be led by members of the Launde Abbey Community. \n\n\n\nRevd Anna Walker \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Revd Anna Walker is the new Deputy Warden of Launde Abbey and a spiritual director. She grew up in the Finnish Lutheran Church and trained for ministry in Helsinki\, later moving to the UK with her husband\, whom she met while spending time at the Taizé community in France. They have two children together and have shared a longstanding commitment to community life and retreat ministry. Anna trained for ordination at Lancaster Priory\, served her curacy in Preston\, and was previously Director of Whalley Abbey. She has a deep passion for spiritual direction and is drawn to seek God in silence\, simplicity and creation. In her spare time\, she enjoys baking\, reading\, journaling\, and spending time outdoors. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRevd Alison Long \n\n\n\nAlison is a spiritual director and curate who has been part of the Launde College of Chaplains and ministry team since last July.  \n\n\n\nJo De Graaf \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJo lives in Harby in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir with her husband\, Cor. They have five children and Jo is a very proud Oma to 10 grandchildren\, who bring the family such joy. A few years ago she felt God prompting and calling her to some form of ministry. Jo believes her ministry is to bring people into God’s Kingdom through love; using contemplative spirituality\, hospitality and service of all kinds to help people feel a sense of wholeness within the love of God. Not only is Jo one of our volunteer chaplains\, but is now the Associate Minister in the Parish of Old Dalby\, and also Lay Chair of Framland Deanery. \n\n\n\nEARLY BIRD RATE: £336 (standard room) or £366 (character room) if booked by 16th September 2026! Retreat price: £356 (standard room) or £386 (character room)  \n\n\n\nPrice includes en-suite accommodation\, all meals\, and all retreat resources. SUMMARY:Beyond Certainty: Reimagining our images of God
DESCRIPTION:BOOK NOW\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat happens when the God you once believed in no longer fits? What if letting go of old certainties could open up new ways of encountering the Divine? \n\n\n\nSometimes the images of God we inherit become too small\, inadequate or even harmful as we move through life. As our faith shifts\, we can find ourselves somewhere between the certainty we have left behind and a new understanding we haven’t yet found. This retreat offers a safe and spacious place to explore that uncertainty\, to question\, wonder\, grieve what has been lost and become curious about what might be emerging. We’ll explore how we might reimagine God beyond the certainties and concepts that no longer fit\, and discover language\, practices and ways of seeing that can help us live more openly with mystery. \n\n\n\nThere will be plenty of space to talk honestly with others who are also navigating a changing faith\, as well as time for silence\, solitude\, meditation\, journalling\, creative reflection and wandering in nature. We’ll pay attention not only to what we think and believe\, but also to what we experience – to the soul\, to the places where we feel most alive and to the ways nature and the world around us might speak of something more. You don’t need to have your faith figured out\, you don’t need to arrive with answers and we don’t all need to be going to the same places. Questions\, doubts\, difference and uncertainty are welcome. Come as you are\, with curiosity\, courage and an open heart\, see what might unfold when you give yourself permission to move beyond certainty. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAnna Robinson is a contemplative\, facilitator and founder of LiveLight|DwellDeep\, where she creates safe and spacious places for people navigating changing faith and spirituality. Living in Cornwall\, her work is rooted in the mystical and Celtic Christian traditions\, while remaining open to wisdom and insight beyond the tradition she inherited. She is particularly interested in what becomes possible when inherited certainties fall away and we become more attentive to mystery\, experience\, nature and the wisdom of the soul. \n\n\n\nAt the heart of Anna’s work is a desire to help people find a spirituality centred not on certainty\, but on love and a faith that feels honest\, alive and true to who they are now. She is a co-host of the Nomad podcast and leads Faith Shift groups and contemplative retreats for curious and questioning people. \n\n\n\nEARLY BIRD RATE: £474 (standard room) or £519 (character room) if booked by 29th December 2026!Retreat price: £504 (standard room) or £549 (character room) \n\n\n\nPrice includes en-suite accommodation\, all meals\, and all retreat resources.
