They have five children and Jo is a very proud Oma to 10 grandchildren\, who bring the family such joy. A few years ago she felt God prompting and calling her to some form of ministry. Jo believes her ministry is to bring people into God’s Kingdom through love; using contemplative spirituality\, hospitality and service of all kinds to help people feel a sense of wholeness within the love of God. Not only is Jo one of our volunteer chaplains\, but is now the Associate Minister in the Parish of Old Dalby\, and also Lay Chair of Framland Deanery. \n\n\n\nThis walk is planned to begin at 10:00 am. We will be using Scripture\, art and poetry to explore this theme. \n\n\n\nThis Quiet Day will be led by Revd Catherine Wright. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBefore coming to work at Launde Abbey in 2023\, Catherine previously served as Director of Ministerial Formation at Ridley Hall and taught Christian History and Spirituality in the Cambridge Federation. Prior to that\, she spent twelve years in the Diocese of Bath and Wells as Diocesan Director of Ordinands and Dean of Women Clergy. Her passion is to help disciples of Christ deepen their spiritual life and engage in worship\, work\, and mission. She is one of our College of Chaplains at Launde Abbey. \n\n\n\nCatherine is married to Geoff Boucher\, who is also ordained. We can learn from him and join his community of prayer and hope. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJohn is a member of the Launde Community\, specialising in exploring the spiritual directions of our lives. Her prayerful reflections over many years on that experience are a gift for our times. This Lent we invite you to join us as we explore Julian’s desire to be near the cross\, with Christ to hold the suffering of this world\, and see it in some way transformed in us.  \n\n\n\nThis retreat will be in silence after evening meal on the day of arrival\, up to coffee break on the final morning. There will be a spacious mix of teaching\, stillness and contemplative prayer\, with suggestions for creative attention to the beautiful landscape at Launde. There will also be the possibility of some one-to-one conversations with Gail or Ian. Guests are invited to join in with the community’s daily prayers and eucharist. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGail is a life coach and spiritual director with a particular interest in practices for engaging well with new seasons of life. Jo believes her ministry is to bring people into God’s Kingdom through love; using contemplative spirituality\, hospitality and service of all kinds to help people feel a sense of wholeness within the love of God. Not only is Jo one of our volunteer chaplains\, but is now the Associate Minister in the Parish of Old Dalby\, and also Lay Chair of Framland Deanery. \n\n\n\nThis walk is planned to begin at 10:30 am.
