SUMMARY:February Quiet Day: The Psalms as Poetry
DESCRIPTION:“The Psalms as Poetry” – A Quiet Day at Launde Abbey\nDiscover the timeless beauty of the Psalms as works of sacred poetry in the peaceful setting of Launde Abbey. These ancient songs have captured the human experience of faith for thousands of years\, expressing everything from profound joy to deep lament through richly crafted imagery and metaphor. \nLed by Chris Webb\, this quiet day will help you experience the Psalms in a new light\, enriching both your literary appreciation and spiritual journey. And through guided reflection\, silence\, prayer and reflection you’ll have a chance to seek fresh insights into these treasured verses. \nChris is an Anglican priest\, author\, speaker and teacher dedicated to helping people experience a richer walk with God by growing in prayer and the spiritual life. He has ministered in a wide variety of contexts: as president of Renovaré\, a spiritual formation ministry in the USA; as parish priest in Welsh farming communities and steelworking towns; and even in a church for the homeless. Chris is the author of two books: The Fire of the Word (2011) and God-Soaked Life (2017). \nQuiet Day price: £46 includes lunch and coffee and tea throughout the day.\nWhy not think about extending your time at Launde by staying overnight after the event.  Check for availability and a quote when you contact us.\n\n\n \n\nYes – I’d like to take part in this Quiet Day!  (Please complete this form to request a place.) \n\n[contact-form-7 id=”e1c7918″ title=”Quiet Day 03-02-25″]
