SUMMARY:The Search and The Journey: An Epiphany Retreat
DESCRIPTION:BOOK NOW\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis retreat will reflect on the after-glow of Christmas to introduce the season of Epiphany. We will explore the story of the Magi as a parable. It has deep themes of longing\, discovery and travelling beyond the known\, into a world fashioned by the light of God in Christ. \n\n\n\nUsing the hymns and prayers associated with Epiphany\, the time together will give us the opportunity turn to the New Year with a Magi-like faith. Some of the retreat will be spent in silence. \n\n\n\n“As we rejoice in the gift of your presence among us let the light of your love always shine in our hearts as the New Year unfolds before us.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis retreat will be led by Revd John Rackley. \n\n\n\nJohn Rackley is a Baptist minister and a member of the Launde Abbey College of Chaplains. He is part of the team who facilitate the Abbey’s Holy Listening course. SUMMARY:The Space: A Creative Retreat
DESCRIPTION:book now\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAn opportunity to explore creativity in fresh ways. We look forward to welcoming you to a 4-day creative retreat with Epiphany’s musicians. \n\n\n\nGod-given creativity is a beautiful gift that reflects the nature of our Creator. Made in God’s image\, we have been entrusted with the ability to imagine\, create\, solve problems\, and bring beauty into the world. As we draw closer to Him\, we discover new ways to reflect His love and purpose\, allowing His Spirit to inspire and guide the creative work He has placed within each of us. \n\n\n\nLeading the retreat will be Epiphany’s skilled team offering gentle guidance throughout. Our times together will include relaxing\, improvised music and reflective thoughts for each day. The rest of the time will give you the opportunity to enjoy and be inspired by the beautiful surroundings of Launde Abbey\, have a Sound Portrait with Epiphany’s musicians\, or to engage in art workshops facilitated by Rhona Knight\, as well as an opportunity for conversation and sharing ideas. \n\n\n\nBring your musical instruments or art materials and enjoy stretching your creativity! \n\n\n\n‘Celtish’ Concert\n\n\n\nIncluded in the retreat price is a special concert by ‘Celtish’ duo Nigel Cameron and Julie Cameron-Hall (two members of the Epiphany team). Learn more about this fantastic event happening on the Wednesday evening of this varied retreat: ‘Celtish’ Concert With Nigel Cameron and Julie Cameron-Hall – Launde Abbey. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEpiphany is an innovative music group of professional musicians who love improvisation and creativity. Members of Epiphany have a passion for excellence in the arts. They believe that music should be expressed in creative ways; that it has a role not just to entertain but also to enhance the quality of life itself by bringing space into our fast-paced\, hectic lives\, relieving stress and bringing new perspectives.  \n\n\n\nEpiphany has performed in many venues throughout the UK\, Europe and beyond\, including in the Houses of Parliament and many major art galleries as well as at the Ideal Home Show in London and at Royal Horticultural Society Flower Shows. They have taken their music to many other public spaces\, including onto the streets and in shopping centres and have also worked extensively with disadvantaged groups including for refugees and asylum seekers\, adults and young people with special needs\, and recovering alcoholics & drug addicts.
