Spencer lived during a turbulent period in world history\, yet attuned his eye to spotting holiness within the very ordinary and domestic acts of life. Using his art as a lens through which to view our own worlds\, we will reflect on how we\, too\, might learn to see the angels amidst the dirt. \n\n\n\nThis day will include a gentle invitation to share in collective reflection on the pictures we will look at\, as well as guided exploration of Spencer’s work and our own spiritual lives. There will be plenty of space for quiet time within the grounds or the Abbey. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLed by Susannah Underwood. \n\n\n\nSusannah Underwood is a parish priest in St Albans Diocese. She has a particular interest in the connections between spirituality\, art\, and poetry.
