SUMMARY:September Quiet Day: ‘Listening with the heart: some insights from the way of St Benedict’ ***FULLY BOOKED***
DESCRIPTION:‘Listening with the heart: some insights from the way of St Benedict.’ This Quiet Day is now fully booked but please check our calendar for other Quiet Days happening soon. \n\n\n\nMany people around the world find in the readings of St Benedict a guide for their lives in the midst of a chaotic and challenging world. Rooted in scripture and ever practical\, it deals with some of the same issues that face us now – living in community\, finding balance in our lives and the nature of work and prayer. We will be exploring these themes in our time together and there will also be plenty of quiet space for your own prayer and exploration through the day. \n\n\n\nThis Quiet Day will be led by Revd Catherine Wright. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBefore coming to work at Launde Abbey in 2023\, Catherine previously served as Director of Ministerial Formation at Ridley Hall and taught Christian History and Spirituality in the Cambridge Federation. Prior to that\, she spent twelve years in the Diocese of Bath and Wells as Diocesan Director of Ordinands and Dean of Women Clergy. Her passion is to help disciples of Christ deepen their spiritual life and engage in worship\, work\, and mission. She is one of our College of Chaplains at Launde Abbey. \n\n\n\nCatherine is married to Geoff Boucher\, who is also ordained. Together\, they enjoy long-distance walking\, particularly along the South West Coastal Path and in the Derbyshire Peak District. \n\n\n\nQuiet Day price: £46 includes lunch and coffee and tea throughout the day.Why not think about extending your time at Launde by staying overnight after the event.  Check for availability and a quote when you contact us. \n\n\n\nYes – I’d like to take part in this Quiet Day!  (Please complete this form to request a place.)
