|Leader :||David Newman|
|Dates :||Mon 7 Jan 2019|

|Description:||An opportunity at the beginning of the year to experience God’s renewal as we reflect on two healing stories.|
On this first Quiet Day of 2019 we will look at the story of Naaman in the Old Testament and Bartimaeus in the New Testament, considering the humility and boldness that opens up God’s new possibilities for them.
A day to help us set off into a new year with reality and hope
David has been the Warden of Launde Abbey for nearly two years, and has enjoyed having more time to lead retreats and Quiet Days in this unique setting. With a long experience of pastoral ministry in the church through incumbencies in Derby and Loughborough, and most recently as Archdeacon of Loughborough, he is passionate about the renewal of the church and helping people find a real, theologically grounded and experiential faith.
