Working at Launde Abbey
Launde Abbey is a Christian Retreat House and Conference Centre set in rural Leicestershire to the east of Leicester and six miles west from Oakham. We are open to the whole church and the wider community and every year we welcome thousands of visitors to a unique experience of warm hospitality and deep spirituality. The Abbey has 39 bedrooms, conference facilities, extensive cultivated gardens and a twelfth century Chapel which was part of an original Augustinian priory. We also have a café for visitors.
The Abbey employs a diverse staff team working across all aspects of hospitality, including management and finance, administration, maintenance, housekeeping, and operating our kitchen and dining rooms. Our employees work in a positive and inclusive environment where staff contributions are valued, and our staff retention rates are high (people like working with us and tend to stay a while!) As opportunities for employment at Launde open up we advertise them locally and/or nationally as appropriate and on these pages.
