Fragile Light

16th September 2022, 4:00 pm to 18th September 2022, 4:00 pm

£300

The light we see shining in the face of Jesus Christ is a fragile light revealed in his broken humanity. It is a fragile light he shares with those who seek to follow him.

Based on the fourth chapter of the apostle Paul’s second letter to the Corinthian Church where he writes, “The God who said, “Out of darkness the light shall shine!” is the same God who made his light shine in our hearts, to bring us the knowledge of God’s glory shining in the face of Christ.”
Yet we who have this spiritual treasure are like common clay pots, in order to show that the supreme power belongs to God, not to us.”

We will be exploring this broken and  fragile light  seen in the face of Jesus Christ in creative glass fusing and spiritual reflection.

During this retreat you will learn how to safely cut, shape and assemble bullseye glass.  After making some test pieces, you will create a window hanging cross. This will be fired overnight and be ready for you to take away at the end of the retreat
