Staying at Launde Abbey

You don’t have to be on a retreat or conference to enjoy a visit to Launde; we’re open all year round to overnight guests as well as day visitors. We’re delighted to offer single, twin or double bedrooms, together with meal options ranging from simple bed and breakfast to full board.

As a residential guest you’ll have full access to all Launde’s facilities: free wifi, access to all the public rooms, use of the Chapel for quiet and prayer, our shop and bookshop, the bar, and the library. The Abbey provides a wonderful environment for a quiet getaway for those simply looking for peace and quiet.

The nearby market towns of Oakham and Uppingham are delightful for short visits, and just a little further afield lie the historic cities of Leicester and Peterborough. There are a range of wonderful walks in our local area and we can supply you with maps and details from our Reception. We’re also just a few hundred yards from National Cycle Route 63 which runs east-west right across Leicestershire and into Rutland and National Cycle Route 64 which runs from Market Harborough through to Lincoln (both connecting three miles south of us at the renowned cycling oasis Cafe Ventoux) – it’s a cycling paradise!
