Visitor Information FAQs

Whatever your reason for visiting Launde Abbey we hope you find all of the information you need below. If you have a question that’s not covered, feel free to get in touch with our team-we’re always happy to help!

It is a place where groups and individuals within the Church and wider community can come to stay, to meet, to rest, to pray, and to reflect.

The Chapel is a private space reserved for our Retreatants and our on-site praying community.  You are welcome to join us in the Chapel as part of our daily rhythm of prayer.

Visitors are also allowed access to our chapel for our classical concert series.

Assistance dogs are allowed inside our Café.

Otherwise all dogs must remain outside.  Dogs need to be on a lead at all times both in the Café and in our grounds.  We understand that most dogs are incredibly friendly, however as a Retreat House guests come here to relax, and we want to avoid any unnecessary anxiety to those guests who may be less comfortable around dogs.

There is access to a number of footpaths and walking routes from Launde.

If you are coming to stay with us – please visit our FAQs for residential guests.

Prayer is one of our cornerstones at Launde Abbey, and we hold services at 8:00 am, midday, and 5:00 pm (Monday through to Saturday), and at 8:00 am on Sundays. Anyone is welcome to join us for any of those services.

Please note if you aren’t staying with us then you’ll need to arrange in advance access for the 8:00 am and 5:00 pm services as these fall outside of our Café and Reception hours.

If you wish to attend the midday service please enquire in Reception.
