Would you like to be a Launde Abbey Companion – and play a vital role in supporting the Abbey’s mission?
You can click these links if you’d prefer to make a one-off donation or contact us for more information about the Friends of Launde.

The word ‘companion’ comes from the Latin roots com (with) and panis (bread); a companion is a fellow traveller who breaks bread with you. Our Companions are people who share the life of the Abbey community, who pray for us, who give time to us, and who support us financially. People like you. The Abbey relies on your generosity and friendship to enable us to fulfil our mission: the offer of prayer, hospitality, community and sanctuary to all who come through our doors.

Become a Launde Abbey Companion and as part of this wider community:
- We will keep you in touch with the life and work at the Abbey via a bi-monthly Companions newsletter
- We will offer you priority booking for selected retreats and other events
- You will be invited to a special event or two during the year
- You will be able to visit the Chapel for prayer
To join the Companions for the next year we suggest a donation of, say, £30. If you’re able to give more or to make it a regular gift, please do: it will help us sustain and even extend the work of Launde Abbey. And if your circumstances are difficult at the moment, you’re welcome to choose any level of donation you can afford. Membership of the Companions is renewed annually.
We’d love you to join us.
If you’re a UK taxpayer please consider ticking the box to Gift Aid your donations. It means that we can claim 25p of tax for every £1 you donate at no extra cost to you, and this will apply to any donations made in the previous four years, the current year and in the future.
