Shepherd’s Huts

Looking for somewhere to pray, read, reflect, write, meet with someone or just spend time alone? Our Shepherd’s Huts, tucked away in a quiet corner of Launde’s gardens, offer a unique space for one or two people to enjoy an uninterrupted day of quiet and stillness.

Each hut is provided with two armchairs, a writing desk and chair, and simple tea and coffee making facilities. They are perfect for day retreats, for writers and artists looking for solitude, or for spiritual direction.

You can book one of the huts by contacting our Reception Desk (01572 717254 or info@launde.org.uk). They are available either to day visitors or to residential guests. You can choose simply to book the use of the hut, or to include refreshments and lunch at the Abbey for a modest additional cost.
