At a time of change, uncertainty and widespread anxiety, we need to discover again the freshness of our most familiar spiritual resources. Stephen Cherry invites us to immerse ourselves in the most central, important and iconic of Christian prayers – the Lord’s Prayer, the Our Father. Using material from his new book Thy Will Be Done (Bloomsbury 2021) and with wisdom and insight from past and contemporary theologians Stephen will present the comforts and challenges of prayer.

Stephen Cherry is an Anglican priest and has been Dean of Chapel and Fellow of King’s College Cambridge since 2014. Before that his ministry was in parish, diocesan and cathedral posts including a time in Leicester diocese as Rector of All Saints, Loughborough. Stephen has written a number of books and attracted a full house to our first Deepening Discipleship Day last February on “The Enigma of Forgiveness”.

Listen to Stephen reading the first chapter of Thy Will Be Done.

Sorry – this event is now full and boking has closed. But do take a look at our other superb quiet days and retreats!
