November Quiet Day: Cloud of Witnesses
1st November, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm£35
“With this great cloud of witnesses around us…” (Hebrews 12:1).
Come and join us for a Quiet Day at Launde Abbey with the Revd Canon Chris Oxley on All Saints Day (1 November 2021)
A chance to spend some time in reflection, in quiet and in shared worship, drawing on the witness of the New Testament and the experience of the Early Christian community, to explore how our discipleship can be nurtured and strengthened as we live in the Communion of Saints and celebrate our fellowship with them.
The Revd Canon Chris Oxley is a priest in Leicester diocese and a good friend of the Abbey. Currently living in Foxton, he recently retired after more than a quarter of a century’s ministry in the Diocese in Beaumont Leys, St Anne’s and St Paul’s Leicester, and most recently the Avon Swift Benefice. He can frequently be found welcoming visitors to the Cathedral where he serves on the chaplaincy team, or here at Launde Abbey where he has been actively involved in leading worship, offering pastoral ministry and taking quiet days.
Yes – I’d like to take part in this Quiet Day!
