We’re thrilled to share a sneak peek into the creation of the latest addition to our tranquil gardens: a joint collaboration of a new perching bench destined for our beloved Quiet Garden, handcrafted in Oak by Ian Varley of Rustic Carpentry & The Village Carpenter 

The Rustic Carpenter previously crafted the beautiful seating for our Outdoor Worship Area, so it was only right that we commissioned Ian to craft another masterpiece —a 13-foot-long bench, nestling in the curve of the Yew hedge, designed for quiet contemplation and reflection.

A timeless quote by poet Mary Oliver has been inscribed into the wood—“A lifetime isn’t long enough for the beauty of this world.”
