Celebrate the season with a luxury Christmas wreath-making workshop at Launde Abbey.
Embrace the magic of the festive season and join us for a Christmas wreath-making workshop — the perfect way to begin your Christmas celebrations.
Set in the serene surroundings of our historic abbey, this two-hour workshop will be hosted by the talented Lizzie Lonsdale, who will guide you step-by-step through the process of crafting your very own 12” wreath. Using the traditional moss and wire technique, you’ll create a fresh and fragrant masterpiece to take home and proudly display.
You’ll have access to a generous array of lush, seasonal foliage — including aromatic Pine, Spruce, and Eucalyptus — along with a beautiful selection of natural decorations. This will all be supplemented with materials foraged from the grounds of Launde Abbey, making your wreath not only unique but also a true reflection of Launde Abbey’s winter landscape.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned crafter, this workshop is suitable for all abilities and offers a wonderful opportunity to unwind, get creative, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the abbey during this special time of year.
Led by Lizzie Lonsdale
Lizzie is a passionate floral enthusiast and devoted mum of one (who she even named after a flower!). With hands-on experience leading a range of creative workshops at EverWild—a well-loved florist based in central Nottingham—she brings warmth, creativity, and a personal touch to every floral experience she curates.
What to bring: Please bring your own gardening gloves and a pair of garden secateurs if you have them. Everything else will be provided.
Price: £75.00 per person (inclusive of a 2-hour workshop with full guidance, all materials including a 12” festive wreath with moss base, refreshments available throughout, lunch in the main dining room and the opportunity to join the Launde Abbey Community’s Midday Prayer Service).
Spaces are limited, so gather your friends or come along solo — either way, you’ll leave with festive cheer in your heart and a beautiful handmade wreath to show for it.
