This Advent Quiet Day will be led by John Rackley, one of our regular retreat leaders and a member of the Abbey’s College of Chaplains.
Each day the Morning Prayer of the Church is a call to Advent living as we pray the Benedictus. Our Quiet Day will ponder the words of Zechariah to reflect on a life of holiness and hope in the light of God’s new dawn arriving in the birth of Jesus. This will be a time to tune into the heart beat of the old priest’s prayer as he anticipated a new future for the people of God.
John Rackley offers this day as a gentle pause before the demands of the pre-Christmas season are upon us. He is a member of Launde Abbey’s College of Chaplains and a minister at Christchurch in Clarendon Park, Leicester. He writes for the Bible Reading Fellowship and has recently completed reflections on a Spirituality of the Night.
Quiet Day price: £46 includes lunch and coffee and tea throughout the day.
