May Quiet Day: ‘The Jesus Prayer for Beginners’
£46
Monday 5th May @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

The Jesus Prayer for Beginners
The Jesus Prayer is a simple but rich prayer practice which emerged in among the earliest monks in the Egyptian desert, grew in the monasteries of the Orthodox Church, and flowered in recent decades in churches of all kinds around the world. It’s helped millions of people towards a deeper experience of contemplative prayer and life. The prayer can be learned in minutes, yet has fueled the lives of countless Christians, including some of the great saints of the church.

This quiet day, led by Deputy Warden Chris Webb, will focus on how to practice the Prayer, but will also look at some of its history and theology, both in Orthodoxy and in other Christian traditions. No previous knowledge or experience necessary!
Quiet Day price: £46 includes lunch and coffee and tea throughout the day.
