This retreat will reflect on the after-glow of Christmas to introduce the season of Epiphany. We will explore the story of the Magi as a parable. It has deep themes of longing, discovery and travelling beyond the known, into a world fashioned by the light of God in Christ.
Using the hymns and prayers associated with Epiphany, the time together will give us the opportunity turn to the New Year with a Magi-like faith. Some of the retreat will be spent in silence.

This retreat will be led by Revd John Rackley.
John Rackley is a Baptist minister and a member of the Launde Abbey College of Chaplains. He is part of the team who facilitate the Abbey’s Holy Listening course. He writes for the Bible Reading Fellowship and is presently preparing a series on biblical Blessings.
