The Space: A Creative Retreat
£592
Monday 19th January @ 4:00 pm – Friday 23rd January @ 10:00 am
Step away from the noise of everyday life and enter a space where faith and creativity meet. This retreat invites you to experience and explore the power of improvised music as a way of deepening your spiritual journey. Through guided sessions led by musical collective ‘Epiphany’ you will be encouraged to listen both inwardly and outwardly, discovering how spontaneous sound can become prayer. Along the way, you will experience the beauty of sound portraits receiving unique musical expressions that capture the essence of your spiritual story.
The retreat weaves together fellowship, creativity of different kinds, and worship with music that arises in the moment, offering a fresh encounter with God’s presence. Whether you are a musician, a music lover, or simply curious, this retreat offers a chance to encounter God through sound in transformative ways. Come ready to listen, create, receive and to be renewed.

The Celtish Concert Performance
Included within the retreat package retreatants will be treated to a special concert performance set in the beauty of Launde Abbey’s medieval Chapel.
Husband & wife musical duo ‘Celtish’ have toured extensively throughout the UK and beyond. They have appeared twice on Songs of Praise, giving what the BBC called “A spine-tingling performance.”
Nigel plays Irish whistles & percussion; Julie (classically trained) plays fiddle; They both sing and write their own songs.
About Epiphany
Epiphany is a collective of musicians and artists of various disciplines. Together we offer a range of creative experiences and events including classical music concerts, ‘The Space’ immersive sessions, improvisation workshops, facilitating well-being days and hosting creative retreats, as well as our unique Sound Portraits; an opportunity to experience an impression of your individuality, through improvised music and art.
Several of Epiphany’s classical musicians have played in leading orchestras and ensembles throughout the UK and Europe, others lead Celtic music groups and still others are gifted singers, songwriters, composers, arrangers, photographers and artists.
Epiphany have worked in many different contexts: from art galleries to the Houses of Parliament; from charities working with refugees & asylum seekers, recovering alcoholics/drug addicts and homeless etc. to care homes and hospices; from formal concert venues to community events. We have played for many professional organisations, including in the education sector. We have also travelled extensively outside of the UK, including to Sweden, France, Belgium, Northern Ireland, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
We believe that music and the arts can communicate beyond spoken words and has the capacity to engage the listener in creative ways. Music has a role not just to entertain but also to enhance the quality of life itself by bringing space into our fast-paced, hectic lives, relieving stress and bringing new perspectives.
