Mark’s Gospel is a vivid, brisk, dynamic masterpiece. From its opening bold statement declaring the beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ to its oddly abrupt ending of the women at the tomb running away terrified, Mark’s Gospel grasps our attention and draws us in.

During this retreat, we will explore Mark’s Gospel, his vision, storytelling style and most of all what difference reading Mark makes to our lives.

Paula Gooder is a well-known New Testament scholar. Her passion is to ignite people’s enthusiasm for reading the Bible today by presenting the best of biblical scholarship in an accessible and interesting way.  She is currently the Chancellor of St Paul’s Cathedral in London.
