Christ welcomes us all. Using the sculpture of "The Welcoming Christ" in the Launde Abbey garden, we will explore what we understand by welcome, feeling welcomed and welcoming others. Guests may wish to use or take their own photos of the statue as an inspiration for stitching. Led by Revd Claire Goode.

Join us at Launde Abbey for a creative and reflective retreat exploring the theme of God revealed – through strangers, signs, and sacraments. Together we’ll reflect on the season of Epiphany, finishing with the Presentation of Christ in the Temple. Our stitching will take inspiration from these ideas – perhaps stars, water, wine or camels.

Join us for a refreshing and creative textiles retreat focused on 'Gardens: Gardens in the Bible, God as Gardener,' led by Revd Claire Goode.

Discover the perfect blend of relaxation and artistic inspiration at Launde Abbey, where the Revd Claire Goode invites you to immerse yourself in the world of quilting and textiles. This winter retreat promises a rejuvenating experience for your mind, body, and soul.

Led by Claire Goode, this retreat will explore what it means for us to be ‘clay jars’ in the service of God. We will do these using prayers and poetry, together with creative stitching.

This retreat offers a time to ponder God’s love for us and for others and how we respond to that love. As we do this, there will be an opportunity to create a piece of sewing/patchwork/embroidery which reflects this.

Using our creativity and the medium of textiles, we will express and explore the relationship we have with God the creator throughout the ebb and flow of our lives.
As part of the retreat there will be an opportunity to make a small seascape panel, which if you wish, can be joined up into a larger piece of work as a larger wall hanging.
