We’re open almost every day for those who wish to visit or just pop in for a brief rest from a walk or cycle ride.
Our café offers light meals, drinks and homemade biscuits and cakes throughout the day. We’re able to cater for a variety of diets, including vegetarian, vegan or those with allergies, and we’re happy to talk to you about this before your visit.

There are walks in the Abbey grounds for café patrons to relax and enjoy some time away from the busyness of life. You’ll find a Victorian walled garden to explore, where much of the produce used in our kitchen is grown. And there’s a small shop in Reception which sells a variety of gifts including jars of local honey.
We offer visitors the opportunity to join the community for the brief Chapel service at midday (except on Sundays).

There are some great circular countryside walks starting at the Abbey, and a handful of simple routes (with maps) are available from Reception – so don’t forget your walking boots!

If you wish to spend the whole day with us you can book in as a day guest. This gives you access to more areas of the Abbey, including our public rooms (the sitting room, gallery and library) and the Chapel for private prayer and reflection.
