Join Launde Abbey’s Deputy Warden, Revd Anna Walker, for a day of baking and reflection. Under the expert guidance of Launde Abbey chef and patisserie baker, Helen, we will engage in the slow process of mixing, kneading, shaping and waiting, which models to us a beautiful rhythm for prayer and activity, reflection and mindful doing, and the outcome will be lovely fresh hot cross buns to taste and take home.

Explore the wisdom of the fourth-century Desert Fathers and Mothers who left ordinary life to seek God in the Egyptian desert. Through teaching, reflection and silence at Launde Abbey, this quiet day considers how their pursuit of simplicity, prayer and solitude might shape faithful, less distracted lives in modern Britain. Led by Revd Alison Long.
