This retreat offers a safe and spacious place to explore that uncertainty, to question, wonder, grieve what has been lost and become curious about what might be emerging.
Join Catherine Williams in a quiet, spacious retreat shaped around St David’s famous words. St David doesn’t offer complicated strategies, grand plans, or even great vision. Instead, he takes us back to three foundations: joy, faith and small acts of love. Together, these form a gentle, grounding and sustaining rule of life.
This retreat will be led by Christopher Cook, co-author of Struggling with God. Drawing on the book’s themes, he will guide participants in a prayerful exploration of the relationship between Christian spirituality and mental health, reflecting on questions of God and prayer in times of struggle.
The aim of this semi-silent retreat weekend is to help you enter the world of silent retreats gently and with plenty of support. There will be guidance on how to use the time; periods on your own and with the other retreatants, and the opportunity to share your experience with others if you wish to do so.
